Finished Model: Base and Final Tusks
December 2011·p. 91
THE SHORT VERSION
The large base is planned around the model’s contact points, then sanded and painted before the monster is fixed in place. A washed brown foundation receives ochre and bone drybrushing with an earth-coloured rim. Additional rocks and remains can break up its expanse, while the mouth teeth and smaller tusks use simple pale bone stages distinct from the main grey horns.
