MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 384

Modelling Workshop: Big Monsters

December 2011·pp. 84–91

THE SHORT VERSION

Chad Mierzwa uses a Thundertusk to show how a large centrepiece can stand out while remaining part of its army. Repeated colours on riders and fittings provide that connection, freeing the beast itself for a distinctive treatment. Planned subassemblies, broad fur techniques, careful finishing and a rehearsed final assembly turn a complex model into manageable tasks that apply equally to other large creatures.
