Painting Sisters of Battle Vehicles
November 2011·p. 99
THE SHORT VERSION
The Immolators use broad, light grey drybrushing over black instead of individually highlighting every panel. Thin Scorched Brown is worked into recesses and more heavily towards the tracks, then the grey is reapplied and finished with a paler pass. The approach produces readable dark hulls and road dirt quickly while leaving room for the vehicles’ religious decoration.
