Tactica: Ogre Kingdoms

November 2011·pp. 86–91

THE SHORT VERSION

Jeremy Vetock builds an Ogre battle plan around the army’s impact hits, attacks and stomps while accounting for its low numbers and broad frontage. Units must be large enough to survive but small enough to manoeuvre, with characters and augmenting magic reinforcing the key combats. Monsters, cavalry, mobile artillery and inexpensive support units create several threats at once, preventing an experienced opponent from simply delaying the most dangerous block.
