Adam takes the Fellowship and initially tries to kill Saruman while protecting the Hobbits around a ruined building. Simon sacrifices ordinary warriors and uses magic to keep the heroes contained; although Gandalf eventually kills Gríma with a displaced Orc, too much time and Might have already been lost. Gimli’s death opens the defence and the entire Fellowship is overwhelmed by turn ten, turning cautious positioning into a warning about the escape mission’s urgency.
