The Last Hatred’s pain-farms and expertise at prolonging suffering lead it into experiments that permanently bind souls to corpses. Its apparent interest in necromancy masks much larger, uncertain ambitions to transcend death or transform the fate of the Eldar themselves. The Kabal’s furious wars against Craftworld and Exodite kin and its hidden gardens of posed undead give it a particularly morbid identity.
