THE SHORT VERSION

The Black Heart is vast enough to contain several rival Archons, each competing for Vect’s patronage within the same hierarchy. Their ambitions stop short of openly destroying one another because Vect treats them as useful tools and tolerates no threat to his supremacy. Its internal rivalries therefore illustrate both the scale of the oldest Kabal and the restraint imposed by its ruler’s power.
