PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 368

The Daemonic Glow and Daemonic Blade

August 2010·p. 100

THE SHORT VERSION

Green recesses and edges grow progressively lighter through turquoise, blue and white so the brightest points sit inside the armour’s details. The sword instead uses a dark purple base, layered purple edges and pale inner symbols, finished with a unifying glaze. Both methods create unnatural illumination by carefully placing brightness rather than making the entire object light.
