MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 366

Da Boar Boyz and Da Squabble

June 2010·pp. 85–86

THE SHORT VERSION

Duncan alternates raised and lowered weapons to suggest different moments in the same chaotic cavalry charge. Extra armour identifies the boss, a higher banner uses a different arm and trailing skulls reinforce the illusion of speed. A two-rider scene captures the Orcs’ competition to reach the enemy first, while notes on the Studio painting explain how red accents and pale boar faces unify the unit without making the riders look disciplined.
