PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 365

Boar Skin

May 2010·p. 97

THE SHORT VERSION

The mouth, ears and snout begin with a brown–flesh mixture that links the exposed skin to the coat. Red-brown shading adds warmth, and pale flesh, grey and bone mixtures define the edges without turning the animal brightly pink. The final light accents are restricted to raised details, preserving the subdued naturalistic mount that supports rather than competes with the Orc’s stronger colours.
