MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 364

Posing Models and Bespoke Battle Companies

April 2010·pp. 86–89

THE SHORT VERSION

The examples use aligned heads, twisted torsos and carefully placed limbs to make Marines appear to charge, land or swing a weapon. Spare decorated helmets, bolters and shoulder pads establish experienced Tactical and Devastator squads, while a Rhino borrows the Baal Predator’s front panel. Mark Latham’s biker goes further with cut joints, Scout Biker equipment and filled gaps, showing how a strong pose can create a small narrative scene.
