PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 364

Glaive Encarmine

April 2010·p. 79

THE SHORT VERSION

The blade begins from blue, turquoise and bone, with pale layers establishing its reflective edges. Its central fuller receives a stronger blue-green shade and carefully restricted black before tiny white highlights and flecks finish the surface. This cool weapon colour provides separation from the gold hands and armour, applying the masterclass’s reflection logic to a different shape and material.
