Advanced Weathering Techniques
February 2010·p. 83
THE SHORT VERSION
Kornel Kozak adds age to an Ork Meganob only after its main scheme is complete. Thin turquoise and pale washes form verdigris, while successive flesh, brown and black streaks suggest increasingly concentrated oil. The advice stresses restraint: a few well-positioned marks explain worn machinery, whereas covering everything in weathering would obscure the original colours and weaken the model’s overall appearance.
