Painting the Ratmen

November 2009·p. 23

THE SHORT VERSION

Nick demonstrates quick sequences for skin, fur, red cloth and metal. A shared brown base ties the organic areas together while brighter highlights retain definition across a regiment. Dark washing gives the armour an aged finish. An additional orange-and-brown treatment suggests rust without replacing the underlying metallic highlights.
