THE SHORT VERSION

Magnus draws Harek away before striking the Space Wolves’ home fortress. Bjorn’s defence and Haakon’s desperate mission allow the absent Great Wolf to return, though victory claims his life. A second account describes the much later siege during Bucharis’s rebellion. Reinforcements returning from the Great Hunt again change the course of a prolonged defence.
