Lorenzo: Red Armour
September 2009·p. 45
THE SHORT VERSION
A red-and-brown foundation gives Anja precise control of the armour’s colour. Dark recesses and progressively brighter edges establish the form before a red glaze ties the stages together. The advice explains why orange highlights work better than simply adding white. Alternative shading colours can also change the temperature of the finished red.
