Tactica: The Machines of War
August 2009·pp. 50–57
THE SHORT VERSION
Pete treats artillery as a set of tools that must be chosen, positioned and protected for particular opponents. He distinguishes weapons for armour, massed troops and several roles. Unusual machines such as the Steam Tank, Hellcannon and Screaming Skull Catapult need more individual handling. The final advice reverses perspective to explain surviving and attacking an enemy artillery line.
