Imperial Guard: Infantry Tactics
August 2009·pp. 24–25
THE SHORT VERSION
Corey’s infantry approach combines numerous heavy weapons with a prepared counterassault force. He divides the army into a protected winning flank and a force expected to absorb enemy pressure. Fire discipline first removes transports that threaten the stronger side. The method deliberately buys time rather than expecting every platoon to survive.
