Evacuation: The Battle

THE SHORT VERSION

Orders and small heroic actions keep the Catachans alive as the perimeter collapses. Demolition charges and Ratling fire thin the metal attackers. A late Valkyrie survives damage long enough to carry away the Command Squad. Von Blacke follows with the remaining survivors, giving the Imperial side its victory and the story a bitter confrontation with the rescued colonel.
