Hair, Hairlines and Hands
February 2009·p. 98
THE SHORT VERSION
Black hair is built from a black-grey base through selective grey highlights and a final black wash; brown or blond hair begins with Calthan Brown and receives thin strand-like yellow and bone marks. Hairlines use a related darker colour rather than an artificial black outline. A separate hand recipe repeats the basic flesh progression while concentrating the final light on knuckles, showing how similar principles apply to another small exposed area.
