Thunderfire Defence Battery

THE SHORT VERSION

A Master of the Forge commands three or more Thunderfire Cannons as one battery. It can exchange individual shooting for a scalable Apocalypse barrage or prepare an Overwatch attack during the enemy turn, provided it starts sufficiently far from opponents. The Black Guard’s defence of Doom Gorge supplies the example, with massed fire halting Tyranid waves before a counterattack. The formation rewards preparation and concentrated defensive support.
