Painting the Chaos Steed

December 2008·p. 83

THE SHORT VERSION

The mount’s exposed skin starts in dark brown, is washed with black and flesh shade, then rises through red-brown layers to sharp warm highlights on the sinews. Painted cuts repeat the highlight mixture and dark lining to suggest a veteran beast. A separate branded mark receives red, brown and bone accents. Its rich flesh provides the planned contrast to the rider’s subdued Nurgle armour.
