’Eavy Metal Masterclass: Chaos Lord
December 2008·pp. 82–89
THE SHORT VERSION
Keith Robertson paints the mounted Chaos Lord as a Nurgle follower, contrasting dull green armour and corroded metal with the steed’s red exposed flesh. The rider is slightly lighter than the mount so the eye finds him first. Layered glazes create patchy age and colour variation, while verdigris follows places where water would collect. Detailed recipes carry the treatment through cloak, mutations, horns and a restrained scenic base.
