Painting the Details
December 2008·pp. 86–87
THE SHORT VERSION
The cloak’s muted purple and red colours rise into khaki, while shield wood is defined with earth-toned grain and pale edges. Fur receives a dark central pattern and light drybrushing; leather keeps sharp pale damage against black. The mutated arm instead uses flesh layers and cool purple-blue glazes. Keith explains that a glaze changes colour through repeated transparent films rather than flooding recesses like a shading wash.
