PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 345

Final Details

September 2008·p. 99

THE SHORT VERSION

The final pass treats the Cold One’s eye, teeth and claws with warm brown and bone, then gives the skulls a darker earth foundation and bright white accents. A blue-black rune on the creature’s skull completes its identity. Neil cautions against rushing these small surfaces, since their precision helps the finished rider and mount read as one carefully resolved model.
