Painting Cloth and Skin
September 2008·p. 96
THE SHORT VERSION
Purple cloth is shaded with black and raised through Warlock Purple and Bleached Bone mixtures, then unified with a tinted wash before a final highlight. The Dreadlord’s face starts warmer with Vermin Brown, moves through Dwarf Flesh and bone mixtures and receives dark brown shading and carefully dotted eyes. The contrasting recipes give the noble a rich focal colour and readable features against the mount’s colder palette.
