MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 344

Posing Your Models

August 2008·p. 81

THE SHORT VERSION

Pointing arms, raised weapons, running legs and a consistent direction of gaze make a miniature communicate an action. The examples range from sergeants signalling to troops aiming, charging or scanning with an auspex. A short drilling demonstration starts the barrel with a knife-made guide point before using the drill. These small assembly decisions add purpose and detail without requiring extensive sculpting.
