Mordor Troll: Final Details

July 2008·p. 89

THE SHORT VERSION

The blade receives dark, layered blood with a glossy red finishing coat to suggest fresh wetness. The severed head repeats the Troll’s flesh mixture with additional grey, keeping the grisly detail within the model’s palette. Nails use fine growth lines, warm wash and pale edges, while tiny eye highlights sharpen the expression. The finished example and alternative kit assemblies show how these methods can support several distinct Troll models.
