Painting Daemonettes

May 2008·p. 28

THE SHORT VERSION

A purple-and-stone base gives the Daemonette’s skin a cool tone, with repeated white additions narrowing the highlights until only the most prominent areas are pure white. The claws begin from a darker purple-black mixture and brighten through added bone rather than the skin’s white sequence. The two related treatments create contrast within a small palette, keeping the creature pallid while its sharp extremities remain dark.
