Slaves to Darkness: Chaos Space Marine Design Notes

September 2007·pp. 16–29

THE SHORT VERSION

Gav Thorpe describes replacing overlapping variant lists with a single flexible Chaos Space Marine army, visible unit identities and clearer equipment choices. Mark Harrison then explains how plastic kits expand Jes Goodwin’s established imagery with interchangeable weapons, mutations and icons. Christian Byrne’s sample army and the Studio’s colour schemes demonstrate the result: individual renegades and ancient Legion warriors can share one force without becoming a uniform collection of merely sinister loyalist Marines.
