Painting the Morgulduin Patrol: Rusted Armour

September 2007·p. 59

THE SHORT VERSION

A rusty brown basecoat is shaded with black ink before metallic drybrushing catches the armour’s exposed surfaces. Keeping the recesses brown and dark gives the Orc equipment a neglected, weathered appearance without lengthy individual highlights. The surrounding examples use a brighter Shaman and a carefully painted banner to create recognisable points of interest within a deliberately ragged horde.
