Adam Troke’s new Empire army confronts Pete Foley’s Vampire Counts at three thousand points, led respectively by Kurt Helborg and Mannfred von Carstein. Repeated invocations, dangerous curses and unreliable Imperial artillery make the fight costly for both armies. Helborg’s Reiksguard survive successive Undead combats and defeat Mannfred’s Black Knights in the final clash, while late control of table quarters helps the Empire secure a marginal victory, 2041 points to 1534.
