THE SHORT VERSION

A divided Good force must carry a dispatch through an Evil ambush and off the board. The bearer can lose the message through death, with close-combat victors able to claim it and shooting leaving it on the ground. Good survivors and the fate of their heroes determine whether successful escape is a major or minor result. The messenger objective gives the outlying rescuers a reason to intervene rather than merely seek casualties.
