Graham McNeill follows Paresh Rammius from the destruction of his tribe to recruitment, apprenticeship and eventual service among the Sword Brethren. His training of Neophytes and friendship with Helbrecht connect personal advancement with the Chapter’s continuing institutions. Terminator boarding actions at Armageddon culminate in a near-fatal duel while his brothers escape the Dethburna. Recovered alive, he receives the chance to continue fighting within a Dreadnought, and an accompanying mission recreates his final stand.
