Finishing the Hill and Painting the Tower
May 2005·p. 110
THE SHORT VERSION
The hill moves through warm browns and bone highlights before flock breaks up the rock, while the tower’s recesses receive a warmer shade beneath cool grey stone drybrushing. Painted plank lines establish the wooden doors, final white accents lift the masonry and small green patches suggest moss and lichen on an ancient northern building.
