Arnor and the Rangers of the North

THE SHORT VERSION

The northern realm divides over its great sites and becomes vulnerable to Angmar’s long assault, ending despite eventual help from Elves and Gondor. Ruined fortifications survive where its armies once stood, while the Rangers preserve Isildur’s line and continue guarding ordinary folk whose safety depends on largely unseen defenders.
