LORE·WHITE DWARF 304

The Sigmarites

April 2005·pp. 82–88

THE SHORT VERSION

Graham McNeill follows Sigmar from tribal warlord and ally of the Dwarfs to the founding figure of the Empire and the centre of a powerful church. The history explains the Grand Theogonist, Arch Lectors, competing orders and the uneasy relationship between national identity, personal faith and political influence.

Warrior Priests, templars, Flagellants and Witch Hunters demonstrate different expressions of that faith, while the Sigmarian Heresy exposes its capacity for internal conflict. New Arch Lector rules and a battle between Sigmarite and Ulrican forces turn the history into playable material, set against the devastation left by the Storm of Chaos.
