Ruined Landscape: Barricades
April 2005·p. 124
THE SHORT VERSION
Broken balsa dowels become logs once a glue-and-filler mixture supplies rough bark, and shaved contact surfaces make them sit convincingly on the ground. Supports and a narrow base assemble a useful Hobbit barricade, while separate dark bark and pale exposed-wood recipes preserve the difference between outer surface and cut ends.
