Scouring the Shire
April 2005·pp. 122–125
THE SHORT VERSION
Steve Cumiskey damages ordinary Hobbit terrain to evoke Sharkey’s occupation, opening collapsed roofs, exposing rafters and blackening burned dwellings. Log barricades and a devastated copse use inexpensive dowel, filler and putty, with distinct bark, timber and ash painting stages making the reused techniques suitable for several different terrain pieces.
