Permanent Terrain
April 2005·p. 129
THE SHORT VERSION
Textured surfaces drybrushed through cool greys to white give permanent boards and hills a durable snow effect, while retained grass patches suggest thawing ground. Trees and buildings can instead receive fixed snow scatter, applied from above and built into drifts so the placement follows how snow would settle rather than coating every surface evenly.
