Tristan leads a thousand points of Bretonnian knights against a two-thousand-point Imperial rearguard trapped between the attacker’s two deployment areas. The Empire lacks cavalry and artillery and fights with halved Leadership, while Bretonnia begins with the Lady’s blessing and gains extra points for killing Artrenic, making the uneven army totals deliberately misleading.
