Painting Camouflage the Dave Cross Way
February 2005·pp. 74–77
THE SHORT VERSION
World War One aircraft camouflage inspires Dave’s unusual Saim-Hann hull, but freehand attempts prove too slow across the tank’s curves. Onion-bag netting supplies a sprayed template for warm mixed greys, while a pencilled and inked serpent wraps around the engine ports; storing the mixes keeps subsequent vehicles consistent.
