Modelling the Watchtower
November 2004·pp. 18–19
THE SHORT VERSION
Paul Rudge builds the Dwarf tower from a foamboard mock-up, layered polystyrene rock and a timber-framed box clad in brick-textured plasticard. Sculptural Dwarf details, a rooftop beacon and small handmade fittings give it character, while grey drybrushing and a brown wash tie the rock and half-buried statues together.
