Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War

October 2004·pp. 89–93

THE SHORT VERSION

The preview explains Relic’s adaptation of 40K into real-time strategy. Capturing strategic locations supplies requisition, pushing armies into the fight rather than relying on a conventional resource-gathering economy. Morale, cover, familiar units and elaborate combat animations translate the tabletop setting into a different rules system. The Blood Ravens campaign introduces Gabriel Angelos and the struggle for Tartarus, with Orks, Alpha Legion and Biel-Tan completing the principal playable factions.
