Dark & Light: Warriors of Minas Tirith

July 2004·p. 134

THE SHORT VERSION

Dave Taylor’s three-day Gondor warhost demonstrates a compact approach to army painting. Ink-shaded metal, quickly highlighted flesh and restrained leather colours cover the common areas efficiently. Model-specific notes adapt the palette for cavalry, Citadel Guard and Faramir, with a simple grey treatment beneath the banner design. The finished 400-point force shows how consistent methods can produce a coherent army without elaborate treatment of every figure.
