A correction restores text omitted from the Lesser Catachan Barking Toad entry in issue 292. It explains when attacks, tank shock or another exploding toad trigger the creature’s reaction. Kroot and Jungle Fighter Guardsmen receive a specific opportunity to kill it before it retaliates. The update completes the earlier optional creature rules rather than introduces a new unit.

Ryan Powell, Kurt Periolat and Chris Hutchings replace repeated Cleanse games with a generator built around four objective markers. Each army receives its own mission, so victory conditions and access to reserves or infiltration may differ between opponents. Marker placement, randomised deployment zones and varying tasks create a tactical problem before the battle starts. Their accompanying fiction illustrates how the results can suggest a narrative campaign rather than merely produce another mission table.

The smaller-game adaptation reduces each army to one objective marker and a shorter selection of missions. Raids, sabotage, holding actions and territorial advances preserve the larger system’s contrasting aims without requiring four objectives. Deployment and the general sequence remain familiar. The variant is intended for forces below a thousand points, including the quick 40K in 40 Minutes format.
