PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 286

Urban Camouflage

October 2003·p. 56

THE SHORT VERSION

A grey base and irregular lighter and darker marks produce an urban pattern that remains readable at miniature scale. The steps develop the cloth through highlights before adding the camouflage, avoiding the need to shade every separate spot. An accompanying colour key offers a related muted palette for varying the effect across city-fighting troops while keeping the same balance of light and dark shapes.
