THE SHORT VERSION

Jason Foley’s Black Templar guide previews the Painting Citadel Miniatures book through a complete power-armoured figure. Grey edge highlights define the black armour, while warm bone on parchment and the chest ornament separates those materials from the white shoulder pads. Red eyes and seals add small focal points. Metal, scripture and transfers complete a scheme whose clarity depends on controlling the placement of highlights rather than covering the black base.

Eye of Terror

Mordian Iron Guard

Mordia’s permanent darkness and tightly controlled resources produce a regiment whose parade-ground appearance conceals exceptional discipline.
