Painting Question: The Scales of Krondys

THE SHORT VERSION

The studio answers Tomy Boivin’s request for Krondys’s skin recipe by building thin glazes over a Wraithbone spray. Ionrach Skin and Sons of Horus Green shape the cooler scales, while Flayed One Flesh, Ungor Flesh and Skrag Brown create the warmer belly. Pale mixed highlights and White Scar connect the two surfaces through gradual colour transitions across the dragon’s large body.

The Ironsunz combine the Ironjawz’ admiration for brute strength with a willingness to use tricks, traps and opportunistic alliances. Dakkbad Grotkicker’s contradictory origin stories and cunning capture of Bossbiter establish his reputation, but Gordrakk’s overwhelming Waaagh! forces him into a subordinate role.
