THE SHORT VERSION

Following the Maligner’s death, the besieged Tattershields face a supply crisis while Harrovir violently consolidates the renegades. Medic Savos Linnd leads a sortie in improvised Ridgehaulers, intending to reconnect with an eastern garrison and recover medical stores. A drug-addicted biker gang wearing stolen Kasrkin armour draws them into a fierce fight; they secure supplies only to return to burning transports and the apparent destruction of the comrades left behind.
